The Perforated Furniture
A new collaboration between Källemo and the design duo Folkform. It comprises three models: a book cradle, a wall-mounted shelf, and a freestanding floor shelf and a hook. The series will be presented for the first time at The Building, 2–5 February 2026, Västra Trädgårdsgatan 9, Stockholm.
Folkform, founded in 2005 by Anna Holmquist and Chandra Ahlsell, has long worked with questions that explore material hierarchies and value creation. Their design practice often originates in unexpected material encounters, where the exclusive meets the everyday, and examines the relationship between material and production. In previous projects, they have challenged conventional industrial processes and investigated the meeting between the handmade and the mass-produced. Central to their work is a questioning of prevailing ideas of what is considered authentic or valuable. The Perforated Furniture follows this approach.
In the series, Folkform interprets the perforated wood-fibre Masonite board, commonly referred to as pegboard.
